PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Permanent supportive housing is decent, safe, affordable, community-based housing that provides tenants with the rights of tenancy and links to voluntary and flexible supports and services for people with disabilities who are experiencing homelessness.
Assistance in the Permanent Housing Program is provided to help homeless persons meet three overall goals:
- Achieve residential stability,
- increase their skill levels and/or incomes,
- and obtain greater self-determination.
Persons who may be eligible for the program must meet the qualifications set forth by HUD.
