Volunteers Needed!

The Continuum of Care is looking for committed and caring individuals to assist them in their yearly Point and Time Count! The Point in Time Count takes place in the last 10 days of each January.  The PIT count is conducted in 23 counties including: Fayette, Tipton, Lauderdale, Dyer, Lake, Obion, Crockett, Haywood, Gibson, Hardeman, Madison, Weakley, Carroll, Henderson, McNairy, Hardin, Chester, Decatur, Benton, Henry, Stewart, Houston, and Humphreys.

What is Point and Time Count?

Point in Time Count (PIT) is a count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons on a single night in January nationwide. Each count is planned, coordinated, and carried out locally. The information and data that is collected in the PIT is used to help everyone better understand the number and characteristics of persons who are homeless in our community.
